Sunday AV Team
Ministry Description:
Volunteers Positions/Number of Volunteers needed:
AVL Lead:
1) Manage Communication
a) Regular Communication with church leadership (Sr. Pastor, Worship leaders, operations lead) to ensure excellence in AV services.
b) Support communication within the AV team and with the worship team.
2) Oversee Volunteers
a) Recruit adequate numbers of volunteers in each AV functional area
b) Schedule volunteers for Sunday and other events
c) Regular check-in with volunteers to determine needs and express appreciation
d) Establish and enforce expectations. Set expectations and strive toward excellence. Provide training, encouragement, mentoring, and oversight to other volunteers. This includes making decisions that drive AV team excellence.
e) Assign/delegate ministry work, as needed/desired
3) Oversee Sunday Morning AVL functions
a) Support, equip, and oversee volunteers in each ministry position
b) Provide technical guides, checklists, and other needed supplies to volunteers
c) Be present Sunday morning and/or assign others to serve in this capacity, especially when absent
4) Oversee AV technology and operations
a) Strategic planning and long-term vision. Work with other church leaders to plan for what our future should look like. Identify things that need to change for our presentation and support of worship to be excellent.
b) Manage security protocols for all IT within AVL
c) Manage copyright compliance (CCLI and media sent to YouTube)
d) Manage the PCs and related hardware dedicated to AV
e) Coordinate with other IT functions (e.g., network and firewall) to resolve technical issues.
f) Manage the AVL budget.
5) Support special events
a) Provide AV support for weddings, funerals, seasonal performances, etc. to the extent practical.
Sanctuary AV Lead:
1) Manage Communication

a) Recruit adequate numbers of volunteers in each sanctuary AV functional area
b) Schedule sanctuary volunteers for Sunday and other events
c) Regular check-in with sanctuary volunteers to determine needs and express appreciation
d) Set expectations and strive toward excellence. Provide training, encouragement, mentoring, and oversight to sanctuary volunteers.
e) Assign/delegate ministry work, as needed/desired

a) Support, equip, and oversee sanctuary volunteers
b) Provide technical guides, checklists, and other needed supplies to sanctuary volunteers
c) Be present Sunday morning and/or assign others to serve in this capacity, especially when absent
4) Oversee sanctuary AV technology and operations
a) Support the church AVL lead in performing strategic planning and creating the long-term vision. Work with other church leaders to plan for what our future should look like. Identify things that need to change for our presentation and support of worship to be excellent.
b) Manage the AV booth hardware and related hardware (microphones, speakers, lights, ProPresenter updates, Mac OS updates, etc.) dedicated to AV
c) Coordinate with other AV team members to resolve technical issues.
5) Support special events
a) Provide AV support for weddings, funerals, seasonal performances, etc. to the extent practical.
